Why Join?
There are numerous benefits to membership in the RAWV.

1. Dinner Meetings – Membership Dinner meetings are held five times a year. It's a great way to meet other landlords and managers to share ideas and ask questions. There is time set aside after every meeting to ask board members rental management related questions.

2. Educational Programs – At each of our membership meetings an educational program is arranged. This is an opportunity for our members to discuss their problems, concerns, and to meet other members in a relaxed social setting.

3. Newsletters – Our newsletter includes timely articles of general interest written by authorities in the rental industry. (Ten per year, no newsletter for December and August.)

4. Legal Services – Limited free legal service for residential properties, plus reduced legal fees for current RAWV members.

5. Credit/Criminal Background Services – New privacy laws require Landlords to be a member of an Association like ours to do background checks on applicants. The Credit Bureaus have announced new strict requirements for obtaining credit reports. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that one must have a "permissible purpose" for obtaining credit reports. The Rental Association of Wenatchee Valley has an agreement with MOCO/The Information Source, a Spokane-based credit/criminal research company. Click Here for forms and information.

Remember ALL information on the credit report is confidential and is not to be shared with anyone! This information must be kept in a secure location or you may lose your ability to screen with this company.

6. Rental Forms & Advertising to Occupancy e-publication – Updated forms are available through this website to keep you legal and help your business operate smoothly and more efficiently.

The Advertising to Occupancy and More Publication gives step by step instructions and includes links to all the necessary forms to get you up and running. These forms are updated as needed and can be downloaded by clicking here.

7. Associate Commercial members – Offering you a selection of local services and retail products, sometimes discounted.

8. Officers and Directors – Volunteering their time and talents to be of service to you. The phone numbers on the 3rd page of this newsletter are available to help answer your questions.

9. WLA Membership and Legislative Representation – Your membership to RAVW includes membership to the Washington Landlord Association. Your interests are served on vital issues by our State Legislative Lobbyist. The need for representation on laws affecting the rental industry is a constant concern of our Association.

10. Seminars – Subjects regarding investments, fair housing issues, drug labs, customer service, etc. given by professionals and offered at nominal cost to you are organized by our state group once a year.

11. Trade Show – Held annually with the state seminar.

12. Advertising - See a link on our web site to advertise your vacancies on Craig's List. Members can also use the newsletter to advertise their properties for sale for a fee.

A United Voice – There is strength in UNITY!
