Why Join?
There are numerous benefits to membership in the RAWV.
1. Dinner Meetings
Membership Dinner meetings are held five times a year.
It's a great way to meet other landlords and managers to share
ideas and ask questions. There is time set aside after every
meeting to ask board members rental management related questions.
2. Educational Programs At each
of our membership meetings an educational program is arranged.
This is an opportunity for our members to discuss their problems,
concerns, and to meet other members in a relaxed social setting.
3. Newsletters
Our newsletter includes timely articles of general
interest written by authorities in the rental industry. (Ten
per year, no newsletter for December and August.)
4. Legal Services Limited free legal
service for residential properties, plus reduced legal fees for current RAWV members.
5. Credit/Criminal Background Services
New privacy laws require Landlords to be a member of
an Association like ours to do background checks on applicants.
The Credit Bureaus have announced new strict requirements for obtaining credit reports. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that one must have a "permissible purpose" for obtaining credit reports. The Rental Association of Wenatchee Valley has an agreement
with MOCO/The Information Source, a Spokane-based credit/criminal
research company. Click Here for forms and information.
Remember ALL information on the credit report is confidential and is not to be shared with anyone! This information must be kept in a secure location or you may lose your ability to screen with this company.
